Victoria LaBerge

Counsellor, CCC, MACP, BA

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) in Alberta. I completed my undergraduate degree at Grant MacEwan University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with a major in English, and a double minor in Psychology and Creative Writing. I have also completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (M.A.C.P.) through Yorkville University. I am originally from British Columbia, but have lived in Edmonton for five years with my husband and our Great Dane, Ozzy.

I have a passion for mental health and hope to reduce barriers and stigmas for individuals seeking professional support. I offer evidence-based, therapeutic practices that aim to lessen suffering and increase positive health and well-being. Some of these methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Informed approaches. I am also passionate about supporting Veterans and First Responders. As part of a military family (spouse, sibling), I have an in-depth understanding of the specific culture, mentality, workplace-expectations, and higher probability of risks, illnesses, and disorders associated with these industries. My services cover a varying range of topics, from depression and anxiety, grief and loss, to work/relationship stress and self-esteem. I offer individual and couples counselling, and am hoping to offer group counselling in the new year at OSP.
